Somatostatin (growth hormone-inhibiting hormone (GHIH)) 과 유사한 약물

growth hormone, glucagon, insulin등의 호르몬을 강하게 억제하는 효과

 

작용

- 소화기관의 분비와 운동 억제 : GI 누공이 생겼을 때, 구토 심할 때 사용

- growth hormone 억제 : growth hormone 과다로 acromegaly 때 사용

- 혈관수축 : esophageal varices bleeding에 사용
